Penguin Cupcakes for the Graduate

'Tis the season for graduations!

In celebration of his graduating from Sacramento State, I made Sean cupcakes. Here's my little brainstorming doodle for the cupcakes I made for him.

The penguin is drawn from this motivational penguin which is also appropriate for the occasion.

To make the cap, I took some cinnamon toast crunch cereal and dipped them in melted chocolate.

I tapped the cereal on the side of the bowl with a fork to get the chocolate looking smooth.

The caps were placed onto wax paper to set. I later put them in the fridge to help the chocolate solidify a bit faster.

Mmm, chocolate cupcakes. These were made from a box mix.

I mixed up some colored frosting, and piped penguins onto a third of the cupcakes.

The caps didn't turn out quite the way I had imagined, but you get the idea.

I piped "CONGRATS SEAN!" on the other third.

Sean's graduation was at 8:30 the next morning. Oh, the sleep we all had to sacrifice.

Can you spot the graduate?

We didn't get to the ceremony early enough to get closer seating. I had to zoom in quite a bit to even be able to see him.

Days Off Crew

Too. Much. Sun. Son.

Afterwards, we went to a park where absolutely nothing out of the ordinary happened.

Just a group of well dressed guys

in their mid twenties playing around.

Yep, just another day in the park.
